Question eSupport Nav Links Unclickable - 13-08-2007, 06:31 PM

I just re-installed eSupport on a new server, and I have a weird issue that's popping up. When I log in, none of the navigation links at the top (Home, Tickets, Teamwork, etc) are clickable. This wasn't an issue before, but I'm now having this problem in Firefox and IE. I'm using eSupport v3.10.02 -- our support contract ran out so that is the latest version I have access to.

Can anyone give me some suggestions on this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi rhp,

Please try clearing the cache folder inside your eSupport installation directory. Delete all files in the cache folder except for index.htm. Log back in and see if the issue persists.

Hi Jamie,

I just checked and there isn't anything in the cache folder except for index.html. I've re-downloaded it two or three times from the Kayako support area and have tried to install it a few different times. Everything in the initial setup process went fine, but the top nav links just don't do anything when I click on them. The links on the left do work.

I see this in Firefox's error console every time I click one of the links:

Error: menulinks is not defined
Source File: http://membernet/support/themes/admin_default/main.js
Line: 654

Javascript is enabled in both browsers.

Thanks!

Hi rhp,

Can you double check you have uploaded all files (especially those in /theme/)?

Hi Jamie,

I downloaded the file directly from the support site to the server I was installing it on, and extracted it in to the wwwroot folder, so everything that was in the .zip file is on the web server. I renamed the /themes directory and reloaded the page, and everything blew up, so it looks like it's reading from the right directory.

Is it possible there are files missing from the .zip file that I downloaded? It's called esupport.3.10.02.stable.zendopen.tar.gz if that helps.

Thanks!

Hi rhp,

No - I do not think this is the case. Is your cache folder writeable? I think you will have to submit a support ticket here (please click GET SUPPORT from within your member's area) for the issue to be traced.

It was the permissions on the cache directory I made it writable and now everything works fine.

Thanks for your help!
