Failing to create staff - 04-07-2007, 04:54 PM

Hello,

I am just after installing and everything when good. I have created new departments but when I create "Insert Staff" it acts like the staff is created but the "Dashboard" >> Staff >> Manage page only shows up one Administrator account which is me. The newly created staff member is nowhere to be found. There are no errors appearing.

Have I missed something?
Thanks,
JP

Also, when I logout and enter choose "Support Center" >> "Submit a ticket" I get the following error...

Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO `swauditlogs` (`ticketid`, `staffid`, `departmentid`, `userid`, `dateline`, `logtype`, `actiontype`, `actionmsg`) VALUES ('2', '', '3', '3', '1183617424', '5', '14','Setting Due Time To: 06 Jul 2007 08:37 AM'),('2', '', '3', '3', '1183617424', '3', '11','New Ticket Created By JP'); (Out of range value adjusted for column 'staffid' at row 1)

I need to figure out what is going wrong urgently. We are going live shortly.

I think it may be to do with your MySQL being on v3 but may be wrong.

My advice would be to submit a ticket at http://support.kayako.com linking to this thread and detailing FTP details and admin area details so they can trace this issue.

It is a MySQL issue. You can fix the issue by editing your /etc/my.cnf file and change sql-mode to something like:

sql-mode=""

OR

sql-mode="NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION"

Once changed, it should fix the issue.
