Fatal error: Unable to read 61911 - 17-04-2007, 12:25 PM

Dear All,

Could you please help with following error I've got during installation on 1&1 managed server.

The kayako's *.tat.gz was unziped by WinRar and upload to the server by CuteFTp utility.

The Zend Optimizer seems to work on the server, however I had some issues with it:

"I've installed Zend Optimizer (on 1&1 managed server following their instructions) and it's seems to work (check by phpinfo.php) but only in root/htdocs folder.

Mine php.ini (located in /httdocs) have following lines:

zend_optimizer.optimization_level=15
zend_extension=/homepages/xx/yyyy/htdocs/Zend/ZendOptimizer/ data/4_4_x_comp/ZendOptimizer.so

The problem I have, is that if I create any folder in /htdocs, the Zend Optimizer is not running (check by phpinfo.php).

I need to get Zend Optimizer run in any subfolder level, like example in folder /htdocs/test/support/setup."

Support Team from 1&1 suggest to copy php.ini (from root folder) and put in where I have folders/subfolders containing the php scripts for the ZendOptimizer. So I've put the php.ini in each folder and subfolder in Kayako but I have the above error.

Could some body help me on this. Thanks.

Do you have full root access to the server?

Well, I don't think so. As far as I know I do not have a root password.

Hi MichaelP,

Try IonCube instead, as the loaders for this simply need to be uploaded to an /ioncube/ folder.

Hello Jamie,

Thanks for advice. However could you be a please more specific (as I'm really new in php, Kayako, etc)? What exactly I need to do?

Sorry for this and thanks in advance.

Hi michaelP,

There is a guide to "Zend or IonCube" in the SupportSuite manual: User manuals

You have to do the following:
  1. Download the IonCube encoded version of the software.
  2. Configure the config.php, upload these files as usual.
  3. Go to the IonCube site and download the loader pack - http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php (if you do not know which version to get, download the "All Platforms" package).
  4. Extract these files not using WinZip or Windows Archive Manager (these cause the IonCube binaries to be prione to corruption) and upload them to a new folder called ioncube that is to go in the folder to which you have uploaded your SupportSuite files.
For example, if you have your support desk location at www.yourdomain.com/support you must create the ioncube folder at www.yourdomain.com/support/ioncube

Also ensure that you have set your transfer mode in your FTP client to binary (this is also discussed in the installation guide).

Hope this was of help,
