You must search and download an icon converter or editor. Also, ICO files are not contained in the main browser cache but on a per-bookmark or history basis (usually). -------------------------------------------------------------------

Because your browser has cached the icon. Until you give your browser a new one that it can load, the most recent one that worked will stick. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you go, hope that one works for you. I had to go find my icon program again. Newly built system and I hadn't reinstalled.Quote:

Thanks Bear, I've uploaded the files but still not working. How do I go about removing the cache files then? I've cleared the cache folder under my Kayako install, now I need to clear the other cache files that you and Jamie speak of. |

Okay well according to MS, I cleared the history and stored images as well as the cookies relating to my domain. However, the kayako favicon still appears. Maybe I'm misunderstanding this whole thing. The icon that I want to change is the icon that is displayed next to the page name in IE 7 tabs as well as what sits to the left of the web addresss. Currently its displaying the infiniti symbol (Kayako symbol) instead of my sheild. |

Browsers tend not to use the central cache to cache icons, but in fact do it per-URL or per-bookmark, or both. Either way, things tend to be flakey when it comes to detecting the icons and updated icons. -------------------------------------------------------------------
