| Filling custom fields on ticket's general tab -

Hello
Is there a way to make custom fields (for ticket creation) , available in the general tab where a staff member accesses each ticket?
We have piping configured and we don't manually create tickets (where you have custom fields available in a more direct view). But when we view tickets that were created via mail piping, you have to:
1. go to edit tab
2. link each field group and press update
3. go to edit tab again
4. modify each field and press update
It makes the process very prone to mistakes, omissions and not very productive.
Or at least, if they can't be located in the general tab... It'd much more useful if they were always editable, without having to link each group.
