Arrow Followup module- possible to get reminder at date/time? - 25-07-2007, 09:13 PM

I am curious.
I run v3.11.0 cvs.

Is it possible to get an email alert reminding me to follow up w/ a ticket? specific date/time? I see there is a "follow up" tab but it only has choices like "in X hours" etc.

So for example, let's say I promise a customer I will call them at 3:00pm on Friday 7/27. I would like the "followup" module to send me an email alert at 2:45 on 7/27 with a link to that ticket to remind me. Is this possible? Or am I misunderstanding the purpose of the followup module?

The Follow Up action tab you are seeing lets you set actions that will be scheduled to run after the time you set within the follow-up action; it won't remind you to do "X Y Z", it will actually do X Y Z automatically.

Right but how can this follow up be used, for example, to prompt me (the staff) to make a phone call to the user? This is something I have to do often (user says "I will be in my office at 11:30, can you call me then?") and I would like to use the followup to send an email reminder to me a few minutes prior. I would think there is a simple way this could be done. But at first glace it doesn't seem possible. A box like "[x] email ticket owner" with room to type a custom message would be excellent.

any chance of this?
