Force long ticket post lines to wrap? - 12-06-2007, 04:39 PM

Hi,

Is there a way in the Staff side to force long lines in ticket posts to wrap when you are viewing the ticket?

We quite often paste long error descriptions/debug information etc. into ticket posts and these frequently have few or no line breaks within them. What I've observed is, this creates a very wide window (beyond the browser width) that requires a lot of side to side scrolling.

Is there a way this can be made to wrap so we don't have to scroll side to side?

P.S. If you want to see for yourself, create some text lines of variying length, 70, 80, 90, 120... etc. characters long, paste into a ticket, then view the ticket. On my implementation at least, I have to scroll right quite a bit.

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.

I opened a ticket for this to try and get an answer on how to resolve. Thought I'd post back to the forums, as there are too many posts that are dead-ends as it is.

Support indicated there are no settings to correct/adjust line wrap.
Also indicated I would have to make modifications to the code if I wish to correct this.
