fresh install problem - blank page - 26-01-2006, 05:28 PM

seems like everyone on the forum has this same problem but any help would be appreciated.

Three support tickets raised to kayako and not a word back from them not impressed!

I have done a fresh install of 3.00.32 onto a (centos) linux server running

PHP Version 4.3.2
Zend Optimizer v2.5.7

The /setup/setup.php page is just blank, which is amazing as i dont understand why kayako havent put any error handling in to give direction.

Tried everything - binary upload, chmod 777, different versions of zend you name it.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

have you tried uploading it in zip format and then just unzipping it on the server. thats what I do I just upload it then run at the linux command line:

Code:
gunzip -c filename.tar.gz | tar xvf -
then it will unzip it on the server then you just do

Code:
mv supportsuiteblahblah/upload/* /home/user/public_html/support/

I started doing that cause before I would unzip on my local machine then upload and every time something would happen dont know if it was a jump/drop in internet or something but then I would get a blank page or a error about corrupt files so figured it wasn't getting them uploaded correctly... So might wanna try that.... or I can attempt to install it for you if you like.. Just let me know.

that would be great but its an internal server on our intranet and hence cant be accessed externally.

anyone who would be happy to install on site would be great, we would of course pay.
we are based in berkshire, uk.
