General Settings problem

Just tried to change the company name and company e-mail address in the General Settings in the admin CP but it seems like its not applying the settings?

I get the message that it has successfully applied them but it hasnt. On logging out of CP i then proceed to logging back in and the settings are still entered in the fields.

Any ideas why they arent being applied and if possible, how do i change them manaually.

Odd, So none of the settings are preserving for you?

The settings are appearing on the General Settings page if i go back to it just they arent actually being applying.

For example...

Old company name said... St. Bede's School

I changed that to say... St. Bede's School & Sixth Form College.
I then also changed the company e-mail address and it apply that either.

Applied the settings and it said they have changed successfully.
Then on checking, they hadnt.

Even the bar at the top of IE didnt say the new company name.

Where abouts are these details saved so i can check the file?
any other ideas?

I wonder if the company name is getting cached. If it is, clearing the cache should get you going.

Hello Hybrid,

On the off-chance, are you using an ISA server in your install (a lot of schoools/colleges do) - If so, it maybe that ISA is caching your page results, as tommy suggested. ISA does that and it can be a pain in the @rse especially if you are trying to do any testing.
