Exclamation Groups and Departments - 06-01-2008, 06:08 PM

Hi Can someone advise me if I have this right please

I have set up SupportSuite with 3 Departments

I also have three Staff Groups -
Super Admin, who are Administrators for Support Suite and have rights to everything.
Administrators who are not Support Suite Administrators and have less rights (mainly relating to deleting and the like) than the Super Admin, but DO have rights to view all posts.
Tutors, who have less rights than the Administrators, and can only see and deal with their own posts.

If I log in as a Super Admin, its great I can see the departments and view all the posts,
If I log in as a tutor, I can see the departments and posts that are applicable to me as a tutor, so thats OK
However, if I log in as one of the Administrators, all three Departments are displayed, along with the number of outstanding posts. However I click on Open posts, I cannot view any posts, nor can I view the closed posts.

Can someone advise me why this is and what I have done wrong

Thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

Under the Admin CP -> Staff -> Manage Group, have you enabled the following permissions?

Quote:
Can Manage Tickets
Quote:
Can View All Tickets (Unassigned, Assigned to Self and Assigned to Others)

Hi Jamie

thanks for your post, you have jusy beaten me too it. I was about to post back to say that I had deleted the group and recreated it and all is now Ok. so I guess I may have not have had that option set to yes.

Thanks for your post, and am becoming more and more impressed with the software as i get further into it (and that's not very far at the moment) - keep finding new bits to make use of

That is good to hear, and especially that you are pleased with the software
