HERE is your new stable version ! - 19-04-2006, 02:30 AM

Glad that i have everyone's attention......

you know...
you guys at Kayako should do like they do over at WebHostAutomation and fine the whiny users each time they mention a banned word or sentence.

for instance. any time someone asks "when is the next release" it automatically delays the release for 2 more weeks... just because. (well sorta..)
or you could set up something on the forum that bans them automatically for 3 or 4 days from posting or accessing the forum.

they are having the same issue of trying to get a new version out.
http://forums.webhostautomation.com/...er=asc&start=0

Yes we paid money to get the Kayako product, and while we are all eager to get the latest and greatest... and to get bugs fixed.....

it is an absolute fact that every time you guys post a question to the board here, Varun, Hiren, Ryan and the others have to stop and read it and then potentially address it.

so every time you post the same nonsense questions over and over.....DAILY..... you are causing your own demise and delays. realize that every action you take (or silly post you make) has an impact into the grand scheme of things and the productivity of others.

your just like litterbug smokers that toss out their cigarette butts all over the place, then stupidly ask why they have to pay high taxes to the city. its because the city has to hire more workers to clean the streets and pick up after your mess.

I am a software developer.
I have been doing it for 25+ years. if my manger stop by my cube 10 times a day and hangs out for 10+ minutes each time asking "how's it going, when are we going to be done ?" I tell them that the 10 times they have asked so far has cost me 100 minutes of development time and therefore the project will now be delayed by the amount of time they continue to interrupt me.

so stop screwing around littering the board with the same questions and let them get to work.

I had a good laugh with that post

The entire build is now complete, However we are experiencing issues with parser hanging sometimes on our own .80 install and are trying to make sure its not a bug that might crop up later on.

Other than that, All promised fixes, features and bugs that came up in the last build have been fixed and committed at http://builds.kayako.net

Varun Shoor

Well if support answered the ****ing emails and/or take on more staff to answer them and/or if they produced better documentation to help install their product we would not have to come on here asking the same ****ing questions buddy.

Our questions might be silly to you, but they are important to us.

Ashie.

Thank you for your ****ing feedback.
hehehehe

But i was referring specifically to the repeated question of "when is the new release"

I am sure that Varun and all will agree to post all of the support issues you need to (hopefully you did a search of the forum too before you posted to make sure the question was not already asked.) that way everyone has a crack at helping out.

real questions are not silly.
repeated questions that were just asked 15 minutes before... are.

As I posted in some topics,

P.S. I bet this will start wild fires!

That was pretty funny, especially the "thanks for the ***ing feedback". Had me rollin'. That and the inspirational avatar suggestion.

What were you developing in 1980-1?

hehehe
thanks !

yea i actually put in the asterisks ***.. not the word. just in case.

in 81 i was developing "Tic-Tac-Toe" it was my 2nd year when i started into programming.(i was 14)
make the program on a Prime 550 mainframe in BASIC. then convert it to work on an apple II, then convert it to work on a commodore. then convert it to work on a TRS-80, then a..... the list went on.

Then i made a phone list / address book for the apple (one of the first organizer programs) and then converted it to IBM.

it was drilled into us way back then to use STANDARD universally accepted code where you could easily transport programs from one computer to another without having to make a pile of modifications.

now they have these funny new things called java and .net. that are supposed to do that.
funny how the industry comes full circle.

my favorit past time from back then was the all famous :
"you are in a forest. you are facing east. you see trees. what you you like to do ?"
"turn west"
"you are in a forest. you are facing west. you are lost. what you you like to do ?"

Another geezer (nearly)!
While back then I didn't get into any of this "passing fad" which was computers, I remember the game. Incredibly slow in comparison to today's pastimes...
