Create an email account inside cPanel then you can set Kayako up to pull your mail using Admin CP -> Mail Parser and adding a POP account. You'll need to ask tech support to set you up a cron after this has been done so the mail gets pulled every 10 minutes.

The manual goes into detail about this -> http://manual.kayako.net

If I'm not mistaken, under your Admin Control Panel (CP) > Mail Parser > Manage Email Queues, you'll probably want to set the Fetch Type to POP3, then put the rest of the support@mydomain.com information in the next section.

My License Type says Hosted, but we're still evaluating

heydru,

To create a POP3 e-mail account in cPanel:
Video: How to create a POP email account in cPanel | cPanel | Video Tutorials
Document: http://www.ufhosting.org/whmcs/how-t...p3_account.pdf

Then, take the information (the e-mail address you have created and its password) and use that to create a new E-mail Queue. It is really a simple procedure.

Please do not advertise job offers outside of the Marketplace forum.

Thanks,

Look at page 421 of the manual once you get to the "E-mail Queue" step.

heydru,

You need to contact your host to find out what your cPanel username and password is.

The email queue should put mail in some department. If you go into your admin control panel and edit the user, it'll show you a list of departments they have access to. Make sure they have access to the department you used. That should be it.

If you want more than one department, hold the "control" key while clicking on things in the list.

There's a "cron", which you can think of as the alarm clock that makes the desk check things every 10 minutes. If you go to http://yourdesk/cron/index.php?_t=parser and the mail suddenly comes in, then yes, you need to set up an automatic cron for your desk.

Maybe consider opening a support ticket. We have support staff who can walk you through setup. The forums are more of a community gathering and discussion place than a place for support.

Hello Jamie,

I have a big problem, I have in mail parser the email queue A116128@cm.es that's is from microsoft outlook, but when other people send me email to this account, don't create a ticket in the Kayako SupportSuite. If the tickets are send from Kayako Support (send ticket), I see in the staff panel that the ticket is created.

¿Can I have to do for receive tickets that are send by microsoft outlook?.

Thank you very much

Just a heads up. I looked into this and fixed the issue. The domain had its MX entry pointing to Google so the account created inside cPanel was useless.
