Hosted Service Down - Server6 - 08-01-2008, 07:40 PM

Good Afternoon,

The hosted service on server6.kayako.net is down, again.

The live chat folks just chalk is up to "
There is excessive load on the server."

This has happened on several occasions.

We have requested that we be put on a server with less of a load issue.

We would also recommend some kind of load-balanced cluster or grid arrangement such as that offered by Rackspace.

We pay a premium for this service, and when its down like this we are dead-in-the-water. Neither our staff or clients can access the service, and that makes for real problems.

Please address this.

That's right. It was due to the excessive load created by the email loop on the server by any of the hosted client.

I understand your concern but the server load can increase at any server and we do not move the clients to different servers based on this. However, we are contacting the clients who are causing this issue and telling them to move to either leased servers or to go for the dedicated hosted servers (hosted appliance).

We already have some scripts in place for hosted servers and we are looking for some more applications to make the system more robust.
