How Do I Make Users Login to View Tickets? - 16-01-2008, 04:20 PM

Is there any way I can force users to log into the website to view ticket responses?

The workflow would be something like this:
  1. User logs in and creates ticket on web.
  2. We post answer.
  3. Email is sent to user stating we have responded with link to view response.
  4. User logs into web interface to view answer.
Possible?

Hi bluesquares,

Yes there is - simply edit the email_staffreply template accordingly, wording it like a notification message (there is a link to the ticket already there).

Hi Guys,

I am looking to do this also but only for certain departments. How would I handle that, just create different template groups for the different departments?

Thanks

Hi Emerson,

Yes -this is the most sensible way to do that (when controlling permissions for the front-end).
