Is anybody actually using MB5? The import feature hasn't even been released yet. If you've got actual customers in your database did you just tell them, "Sorry, but your old invoices are gone"? Or do you have MB4 running at the same time?

Hi,
Unfortunately ModernBill didnt even add integration code into their v5 version. So what we have right now is a product that we cannot integrate into at all.

We are in touch with them regarding this so hopefully they will complete the integration code and we will be able to port the current integration to v5.

Personally, I would recommend that all MB v5 users request them to finish the integration code asap if they wish to see something concrete soon.

Thanks.

Regards,

Varun Shoor

I'd rather they finish their import script first. I can't even upgrade until they do that. I can't believe they released their product before creating an upgrade path.

That is completely upto them, The reason for my post was to let our clients know that the delays are not from our side.

Varun,

With the new office and all you guys could come up with a MUCH BETTER BILLING system than Modernbill, and I would like to help if you guys do.

I have a lot of useful ideas.

i hate to say it i would not rely on a kayako billing system coz if there are problems and i cant get support from kayako that could be lost business or at least be major problems...

Yeah, Thats the reason we wont do it

You know we are trying our best to improve everything here. We have spent quite a lot of resources both in terms of money and time and a lot of you will be seeing the results in the upcoming three months.

Have a look at http://office.kayako.net, You will most probably notice atleast 1 new hire (Our target is 2) per week.

Please keep us updated on this Varun.

While its not Kayako's fault or problem it dictates if many of us can continue using Kayako helpdesk.

Varun

I just checked with my Modernbill rep and he says Kayako have been given the integration info about 5 times now and there is all you need available to get this done.

Dont know where the disconnect is but maybe speak to Dan at MB.

Thanks,

Someone needs to step up to the plate and get this figured out. The he said she said between the two companies is getting a little old.

Unfortunately, Varuun from Kayako is very hard to get ahold of these days. He has Brians direct contact info and Brian is our dev who will assist him OR ANYONE ELSE with helpdesk integrations.

With v5, these types of integrations ARE VERY easy, but you will need a little guidance from our team in the beginning.

On that note, we are working to improve our internal helpdesk as an alternative. You can expect it to improve with each release.

Amazing, If they are saying that in public then I believe I should make our emails public too. Here is what I sent them recently.

Quote:
Hi Michael/Brian,
Its quite surprising that you are saying on public forums that you have sent us the integration information. Please understand that the clients are not looking for MBAPI level integration, they want your helpdesk to be replaced with ours.

How difficult is that? What information do we need to provide you in this regard? We are being blamed for this on our forums and cannot afford this. Please get the integration implemented like the way it was before using file includes so we can port everything over.

Let me know if there is anything else.

Regards,

Varun Shoor
What they sent us earlier was a simple link to MBAPI which is useless in this scenario and has absolutely no function to replace the helpdesk or anything.

Regards,

Varun Shoor
