HTML Buttons: ON/OFF Graphics. - 05-05-2008, 08:51 PM

HOSTED SOLUTION: EASY Form Field Addition for JavaScript.
================================================== ====

In creating the HTML button, a option to provide the source for the on/off images would be an easy and very effective way of allowing users to change the way this looks and still function in the exact manner as scripted.

Anyone else hosted that would like to change the look of this link?

Can you explain this in a little more detail?

Using the admin console you have an HTML Button generator to create the LIVE CHAT Online/Offline button link. Using the standard graphics are ok, but a simple form field to allow the user to specify what graphics to use would be much better.

When the javascript is created to determine Live Chat status, it would call on the user images for online or offline.

I hope this helps. I'm not sure how else to explain it.

You can do this by going Admin CP -> Templates -> Manage Templates -> Live Support -> chatimage

Just edit the URLs of each image.

Is there a way to specify different images for different departments? Or just generally - so that we can have different clickable links on different pages etc?

The only way would be to create a number of template groups currently.

I agree it is overkill and hope Kayako will allow selection of different buttons each time the code is generated thus to allow the same live response to be seamlessly used across multiple sites a company may own.
