Import Contacts - 19-10-2005, 03:02 PM

Is there a way to quickly upload a file of contacts such as a csv file or something?

I know there is an Outlook add-on. I don't want to have to synch every day, just bring a list of contacts in once without having to type them all in.

I notice this request was posted in 2005. I did not see a response. That concerns me ...

I just purchased last night and I need the import export feature.

Does anybody know? or should I been asking for refund?

This feature is currently not available. Did you not try out the trial before purchasing the software. I do not believe Kayako will refund you for a missing feature.

I understand that... e-support has many nice features but they make others so difficult.

Like SMS, I tried putting my cell verizon number in several different formats I followed all the instructions, but I still do not get a sms message. This needs to be more simple to setup. I spend more time testing and reading the forum. But still stuck. So search and I found another product the gives a 45 day trial and I'm ready to install that and give up with this one. Soooooooo confuse..

Have you purchased SMS credits from Kayako SMS Gateway? Only then SMS feature will work. Kayako offers free hosted trial, you should have opted it before purchasing the product.

You need to purchase credits from Kayako and then it will send to any phone you select.

I purchased credits... I followed the setup in instructions... I enter my cell number with the 1 in front of my cell number but no sms messsge was delivered. I then took out the 1 in front of my cell number and still no SMS. It is not fair that I have to paid to make this work. I followed all the instructions.

I only sent out two sms and it used 3 credits. I also followed:

Kayako SMS Gateway allows you to receive instant SMS alerts directly to your Cell Phone for any new tickets, replies, notes etc. You can configure this Gateway in SupportSuite/eSupport under Admin CP > Settings > CPU Optimization & Server Settings. The Alerts can be configured under Staff CP > Tickets > Alerts.

This seems buggy.. I better contact my credit card company and submit a charge back

Sorry? Why is there a need to submit a chargeback? Contact Kayako and they will either fix the issue or provide a refund.

This is taking too long. I need to have a application ready for presentaion that does not have so issues and complications. One more thing it used up my credits but this time it did not email or post the ticket. Not good...

Kayako does not provide support on weekends which is known to all also the credits are deducted depending on your country and cell provider. Your issues sound more like misconfiguration issues then software issues.

Taking my credit would not be a problem if it would delivered the sms. I wrote an application that does this and it was not this complicated.
My cell company is verizon. The documentation made this process seem simple. Now I wasted most of my weekend just trying to make simple things work. Yeah some of us work weekends.

In additions the time I will have to spend tommorrow to proccess the charge back. The paper work I have to do for the charge back. Believe me I rather be setting the application and not in this forum having to justify the problems.

I am still not getting why you need to do a chargeback. Tell Kayako the problem and they will refund you to save the chargeback processing fees.
