Incoming HTML mail formatting problem - 05-02-2007, 02:26 PM

I am using Outlook 2003 to send a message to the helpdesk. The message is sent using HTML format, but this happens with Rich Text format also.

The problem is when the message comes into the help desk the ticket shows with extra line-spacing, e.g. my signature line looks like this:

Clifford Helsel

Project Manager

The Solution Cafe

http://www.thesolutioncafe.com

Any ideas how to fix this problem? This is the second of two quite apparent bugs which I've experienced in only the first two hours using the software.

Thanks,
Cliff.

Hi,

Please set "Post Text Conversion" to "no processing" from Admin CP -> Settings -> Tickets. This might resolve your issue.

I set Post Text Conversion to "no processing" and this has no effect. It appears that the mediumtext css style is incorrect.

Any suggestions?? This looks like a pretty obvious bug... I know the developers probably use mostly open-source materials but in the real world (businesses that pay for things) Outlook is the dominant force... an Outlook generated email in HTML format is being displayed as follows (actual HTML tags shown):

Line 1<br />
<br />
Line 2<br />
<br />
Line 3<br />
<br />

This is BAD.

Hi,

Can you please provide me admin access and steps to replicate this issue on my email address?

Just confirm if you have *not* used line breaks in your signature which you entered within the software. That can cause such an issue.
