Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 - Related issues or no? - 03-02-2006, 03:32 PM

I just started running beta 2 of IE7 and in the past on IE6 noticed errors in my browser and sometimes the drop down on "Predefined Replies" didn't work.

In IE7B2 they don't work at all and wanted to see if the errors were browser related or other bugs that were fixed in the latest build.

See screenshots below:

The best I can tell, they're both. It looks primarily like a javascript call that isn't working with IE7b2. I can't get IE7b2 to work with the backend at all.

Being that IE7 is rolling out fast and expected to be public stable by the end of the year suppose the kayako team should start looking into this.

Also for those of you guys at kayako reading this your main page java script on the nav buttons do not work with IE7 ( kayako.com )

I have attached a screen shot as well. This should be addressed very soon as the world will be running this browser as soon as MS releases it and who knows when that is going to be.

If you have the owned version, you can make a javascript edit to make it work with IE7. Fix is posted in the WinApp forum.

Can someone just post the fixed file without making us jump through hoops? Go to this post, then go to the bug tracker than....sheesh...lets try to make our lives a little easier.

Yeah, thats nice.

For the rest of you, I still can't recommend going full bore with it. While the one fix works or some things, there are so many other broken things that it still is quite unusable from its already handicapped state as a basic product.

I would recommend keeping at 6 until they get their javascripts, or the people they bought the scripts from, get a fix out.

Good luck.

I Agree.

Went through the forums, bug tracker and still no use. If it works with IE6 (My Staff).. it doesnt work for IE7b2 (me) and vice versa.
