IRS not working on v3.10.02 - 15-03-2007, 11:58 AM

Hi,

I have been playing with v3.10 both stable and CVS and found that IRS on client ticket submission does not work.

It appears to make the search:

GET /kayako/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=irsfetch&randno=25&q uery=voicemail%20garballed

But no results are returned to the page.

In the Staff CP, doing a search does return results.

This is a straight install of Support Suite with no customisations or skins.

Anyone else had this issue?

Straight out of the Kayako KB:
The IRS feature of uses the MySQL Full Text Search. This has certain restrictions most of which are highlighted below:

1) The word to be searched should be atleast 3 characters in length
2) It should not be common (Say appearing over 80% of pages)
3) It should appear in atleast 3 records, in your case it might not be working due to less amount of knowledgebase articles
4) Common words like the,in,are etc. are ignored

Hi,

Thanks for you response, I already found that KB entry; and have created around 20 KB articles with a variety of search words. Any entry with word voicemail in it should technically appear from my understanding of how it works.

I tried it on a demo of Support Suite and it seemed to work there. I did have this working on a previous version. Do you have the same issue with this version?

If you dont I'll wipe my database and reinstall from scratch and see if that helps.

Currently we use v3.10.02 for our development purpose and it seems to work fine for us. We have had no such issues.

Thanks for update. I am going to do a completely clean install and see if that fixes it.
