irs search results - articles with special characters - 05-06-2008, 07:45 PM

Hi there,

I haven an issue concerning the irs search.
In our knowledgebase we have articles in three languages: Enlgish, German and French.

If I use the regular search, all articles are found (including the ones with special language characters e.g. ä, é)

Now if a customer puts a word in his ticket containing one of these special characters no article is found.
Do I have a bug or misconfiguration of my character set here?

I believe you have rediscovered Bug 613. 613 is fixed in the developers' repository. I would appreciate it if you would check the bug and verify that this is what you're experiencing, just for the sake of thoroughness.

Good. Unfortunately the fix for this defect is complex and touches many files; a hybrid patch is not realistic. However, come 3.30.00 stable, this *should* be fixed.

If it isn't fixed for you in 3.30.00, please open a trouble ticket and ask for me directly, and in the ticket, leave a link to this forum post.
