Japanese Language Support - 03-08-2006, 02:04 AM

Hi All,

I'm currently using the trial and trying to test to see if Japanese language support works in Kayako.

I sent an email to Kayako in Japanese and while the ticket subject came garbled, the body was readable.

Next when I replied from inside Kayako this time both the subject and body were garbled to the outgoing end user email.

Where are the settings that I can change to support Japanese characters in incoming and outgoing email?

Here's some additional info from my testing. The auto-responder is correctly sending out Japanese characters, but when responding from the ticket the user still get garbled characters.

Character sets that I tried include the default UTF-8 and iso-2022-jp.

There are some modifications that you need to make. PM me. I'm not sure I'm allowed to post source code on the forums.
