Just set-up and Mail Parser isn't working - 15-05-2006, 12:28 PM

I have just set-up a hosted system and set-up my queues etc. to receive emails from my designated support account (as a sub-domain, e.g. company.helpserve.com) and then put a ticket into the General department.

When I set-up the trial this was all working fine. Now I have set it up again from scratch on my new system no emails are being processed. There is nothing in the Parser Log (infact no log at all).

It looks like the parser process isn't running on my site.

Has anyone got any ideas?

It looks like the smtp mail server isn't running (for my queue?) - 16-05-2006, 08:55 AM

After a few hours I get the following email sent back to me

<support@moleend.helpserve.com>:
Sorry, I wasn't able to establish an SMTP connection. (#4.4.1) I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long.

It looks like whatever processes emails at my hosted designated location isn't doing it.

I guess someone at Kayako needs to restart a process (or reboot) a server.

This looks like exactly the same problem as we're having.
I think kayako are having trouble setting up the DNS settings for emails.

Just tested again, and it's working for me too.
It's veeerrrrryyyy slow, but it appears to be working.
