Greetings,
I'd like to share with everyone my experiences and reluctance at making a purchase with Kayako. At first, I signed up for the free trial, then went for the hosted option, and then for the owned license e-support package.
Because I couldn't get any 'live' response from any Kayako staff, I was deeply disturbed and concerned as the activations for none of the packages (except the trial) were made as said on the website.
However, today is a Sunday, and after sending an email to Varun, I immediately got a reply, following which all my issues were resolved in a very quick and timely fashion. Gone are the worries I had (pre-sales), and now I am a happy camper. Hopefully, now all I will have to deal with are technical issues, and I'm quite certain that this won't be a problem.
My word of advice to anyone considering Kayako is to persevere and let Varun and his team work with you (even if you don't get a response at first) to close the deal. The software pretty much speaks for itself, and if you're technically inclined, I'm sure you will have few problems. Let's let the guys sort out their issues, without creating additional stress for them. Let's not forget, some of the features of the software can only be had in packages costing many times more.
Again, my public apologies to Varun, Hiren, and the rest of the Kayako team. Thanks for taking the time, even on a Sunday, to sort out customer issues.
