Thumbs down Kayako still using old version! - 26-03-2008, 01:14 PM

It simply baffles me that your own site not only did not use new builds during testing but even after going stable, to this very day, you're still using an older build (3.11.01). It's amazing how you don't suffer from the heinous bugs in the latest stable yet we all have to suffer from them and painfully await the fixes! This is not an example for other software companies to follow, I quite frankly don't understand how you operate this way!

From reading this and your previous posts you seem frustrated and angry

If you are that unhappy with the product and service, why don't you just cancel your account and find another solution? It's really not going to solve anything to vent your frustrations on the company forum. You are just going to stress yourself more

Hi Neal,

I know we need to, and we have no reason not to. Unfortunately due to our security policies only one person is at the moment able to do it (Varun). I'll make sure it is done as soon as possible.

And remember, Kayako's install is a custom one that has to be modified every time they upgrade which takes time. I would much rather this time was spent more productivly.

Like changing the way Kayako upgrades? So that you don't need to modify everything all over again.

Say what? It's an out of the box support suite configuration!

No, it isn't. The "Get Support" feature inside the members area that checks if you are an active support subscriber and then sends a token to the Support site has to be implemented. I am told there are a few other things too.
