Kayako SupportSuite Installation

Hi,
I am installing SupportSuite3.0 over a windows 2003 server that have PHP Version 5.1.4 with Zend Optimizer v3.0.1 and My SQL 5.0. I copied Key.php file on the root folder of application and for cache and files directory setup rights for every one. I created Database with the name Kayako_Suite and create the user Suite_user, grant full access to db. update the config\config.php file as well. Now when I try to run the installation script http://mydomain/SupportSuite/Setup/Setup.php is dose not show any thing and on the PHP log file it add the following message

[17-Aug-2006 04:18:56] PHP Parse error: parse error, unexpected '{' in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Kayako\includes\SmartyLight\cla ss.template.php on line 351

What can be the error is I missed some thing to setting up application. Please provide some assistance to solve this issue.

I did not install this on windows but I ran into an issue with the index.php file in the /cli directory was not pointing to where PHP is installed on my server. I'd make sure if that file is calling php and if it is looking int he right place.

We received a report on a similar issue earlier and the problem seems to be with the combination of either PHP v5 or Zend Optimizer v3. I would recommend trying out the ionCube loader/build and if the problem persists downgrading to an older version of PHP.

There is problem with the Kayako supportSuite version 3 working with PHP5 on IIS 6.0 but when we do the following setting in PHP.ini it is working.


short_open_tag = On
max_execution_time = 600
magic_quotes_gpc = On
