Unhappy Labels dont work... not even a little bit... they are pants... - 06-02-2007, 12:09 PM

Hi,

I have set up a load of useful labels in Admin, but none of thema appear in the staff interface.... the dropdown is empty... but here I am allowed to create labels which show up in the dropdown on the left... but not in the admin of labels... seems like a big fat mess... And of course the ticket I submitted on this is being ignored...

Is this a bug? Anyone out there got labels to work in the latest release?

Where in the administrator control panel do you believe you've created the labels?

Hi shed49;

Are you noting that a label has to have whether it is an "Event Label" or a "Task Label" specified?

I.e. when adding a label and setting the label type to "Event", it will show up only for inserting an event, as shown below.

Adding the event label via the admin cp:

Now I'm confused.... so I can't create a label from admin then assign this label to a ticket.... for example to categorise types of support requests into technical areas?

Are there two different 'types' of labels then? One for assigning to events and another for assigning to tickets? If so where do I administer the labels which can be asigned to tickets???

Okay... they arent pants... I've figured it out....

There are two different labelling systems within Kayako... one for events/tasks etc. and labels which can be assigned to tickets... the latter is not editable from Admin interface but on ticket interface only...
