Hi jreed,

Thank you for spotting this. I will discuss this with the developers.

I also experience attachments issues.
In our IMAP box there is one email with a 3MB attachment.
Not exciting one might say.

The parser is unable to process the file. I had to raise the memory limit to 64M in order to be able to process this email with 3MB attachments.
How can that be? Is the parser code so inefficient?
Please note, I already applied the fix posted on page 1 of this thread.

Not totally sure on this but I think the memory limit is account wide on the server so it may not be just the parser that is hitting that 64M of memory.

I went a tried some crazy memory limits (like 512MB) and never got the parser to do more than 4mb email. I have to now have a exchange rule which moves emails bigger than 4mb to a new folder and check them manually. Not exactly ideal....

Submit a ticket to Kayako (http://members.kayako.net -> "Get Support"). They may have a solution.

Well - I got killed twice this week and am debating taking attachments down. I made the changes to the files where the attachment portion i believe of the e-mail is not searched.

My parser gets hung up still on large attachments. I got sent two huge BMP screen shots and the system went down again.

I freak out so I'm not sure if some tickets were still getting in. I know when i go to the parser URL it spits out a blank page so I'm guessing the tickets I do get are new and from the helpdesk / submit ticket page.

Shouldn't there by now be a max upload / attachment setting?

In my case if someone sends me something i only want a .php file or something really small. If larger then i give a direct e-mail.

Yea, there deffo should be such a setting rather than the php error kicking in which people don't understand.
