Large number of department slowing down staff side. How to remove the tree menu?

I have 600 departments in the system and the tree menu is slowing down the staff side. How can I hide the tree menu or make it faster. The staff side is hardly usable.

You can unassign the staff user to the department he does not use at all.

I cut down the departments to 120, but its still abit slow. How can I add a drop-down menu to the new ticket page where I can choose the department? So i don't have to use the graphical heavy "new ticket-->send e-mail-->departments" list??

Hi,

I want to do the same actually on this part.

I only would like to show the department where the staffmember belongs to.

Strange is that i can't find the "New Ticket" in the source of the page, so I'm not able to fully change that menu.

What did you discovered so far ?
