Did you do template restores after the upgrade? If not, I recomend you do all the live help ones just to be sure. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

That is a timeout error connecting to the server. That is to do with your local internet setup rather than Kayako. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Craig, Yes, that certainly could be it, but I assure you that my connection is more than stable enough to maintain a live chat connection - I'm on a 12Mb cable connection, that works just fine for everything I throw at it, including other live support applications. Plus, *each* of our operators is suffering the same symptoms with Kayako, while each being located in different countries, on different types of connections. If indeed the connection is at fault, then the LiveResponse software is way too sensitive. We've never had this type of problem with any other live help software. Is there any way to adjust the specific timeouts responsible for declaring me as "timed out"? Is this a client-side or server-side setting? |

Hi Eugene, It sounds more to me, then, that your server is at fault. Are you running a Windows server, by any chance? -------------------------------------------------------------------

I experience the same sometimes. Isn't it possible to regain connection from a disconnection or brief packet loss? It is very concerning if just one missed packet can kill the connection without warning or notice. I will be interested to hear what you do to help this issue. |

Eger is not on our hosted platform. Eugene, all I can say is please hold on for a bit while we stabalise the new chat routines in the software and we can try those. Most of the time the problem is due to a timeout problem that is not caught correctly - the new method of handling chats should catch more of these and provide feedback. We are currently testing this on our own desk. -------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you mean? If you mean is it going to appear in 3.11.02, then yes it will be (it is already in the CVS build and waiting to mature). -------------------------------------------------------------------
