Live Support Online shows Offline

Hi,

My Live Support shows in the window of chat the Offline Department being that it is Online
Ex: Department: xxx (Offline)

My Status is Online, the image of the Chat shows online … what it can be?

Please make sure you have assigned yourself the chat departments as under: Admin CP> Staff> Manage Staff> Edit> Assigned Departments.

I am having the same problem as the original post. I have noticed the following... If I set up the user giving it access to the chat department the online status shows correctly but if I set up the user account such that the assigned departments are set via the "Use Group Departments?" the offline always shows even when the user is online. I checked the department for this team/group and it does have the chat deparment assigned to the group. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Could it have to do with being an admin group?
