missing captcha

Hi
I got problem. In registration block, I can’t see captcha image. Nothing happened after refreshing site …
Please can you tell me what happened? Only customization what I done, is created new module and change icons.

Hi Jan,

Your PHP installation needs to be compiled with 'gd' image library support in order for CAPTCHA to work

Looks like the GD extension has dropped off your PHP install possibly from an automated install. Care to upload a a PHP Info file (Creating a phpinfo() page) and link to it here so we can take a look?

here is screen of PHP info - gd settings. but this problem is only in 3.20.02 version. In 3.11.01 it's working fine.

This is not a template issue. I have the same file set on three servers calling the same db. In 2 cases the captcha works while in the 3rd it timesout.

All 3 servers have the same PHP config.

That is really odd. I suggest you contact support then (http://members.kayako.net -> "Get Support") to see if they can help.

We have been able to fix this by switching to combination Apache2.2+PHP5+GD from Apache2.2+PHP4+GD .

Seems there is a incompatibility somewhere there. Sorry kayako, this one is not your fault.

Ah, maybe the latest GD version only supports PHP5 now...

Problem solved. I didn’t deleted or rename “setup” file. After renaming that file, captcha is working. So I thing that kayako don’t let users to register, when it’s still in “installation process”.

Thanks for sharing how you solved the problem. I am surprised however that it stopped CAPCHA from working...

Hi - can you elaborate further on how you fixed the problem. I've got exactly the same issue. gd is installed but I don't get the captcha displayed.

Delete the /setup/ directory if it is there as Jan said.

Hi,

Nope, no /setup/ directory for gd that I can find. We're running php 4.4.2 (Yes, I know its old but we have an app that won't run on 5) and php was configured with the --with-gd flag. Anyone have any ideas??
