| Need assistance moving V2 data to V3 (WILL PAY) -

Hi,
I currently have a hosted V2 site and was told months ago that they were going to shutdown the V2 servers and I'd even have to pick a new URL to use for our support as for some reason they were not going to migrate the domain names we chose in the past. (This is a bit frustrating because if you've been using the same email/URL for years, now you're just out of luck..)
Anyway, I decided to purchase the V3 stand-alone software instead of trying my luck with V3 hosting in case they decide for 'V4' to once again force us to switch our addresses for a reason they would not explain after multiple requests.
After purchasing the software and recieving it, I standard the install process and followed the manual and everything appeared to go as planned. However, the honeymoon ended as soon as I tried to get the old data into the 'new' system.
For starters, the .SQL file backup I finally got from Kayako of my old site does restore successfully when I try to restore it. Repeated emails to Kayako about this have gone unanswered. Since the database partially restored; however, I tried using impex anyway, but when I run the impex page, it starts 'processing' for a couple seconds and then comes back to a dead page (file not found/server not found) <I think its a script timeout issue myself ...>
The only recent response I have received from them was one stating that they were about to turn off my V2 hosted server which is going to leave me literally dead in the water ....
If anyone out there is a whiz with mySQL or a whiz at the whole migration process and can assist (either freely or for a $) please give me an email addy/icq/msn/yahoo or something so I can try to get this figured out before I get shut down ....
Thanks ! |
