Need License Key Urgently - 10-02-2007, 07:29 PM

Our trial expired and we just purchased the full version. But so far we haven't received the key. How long does it usually take and how can we get back online?

Did you just place the order for the software? If yes, then your order will be verified and activated only on Monday. Kayako does not work on Sunday's.

Yep we just placed the order online. Well, if there's another way to purchase a key that's already created, we'd gladly do that.

I'm not sure how reselling works, but maybe contacting a reseller of Kayako can get you a key sooner. Then you can cancel the order you made directly?

Either ways the licenses are activated by hand by the Kayako Sales team. I do not think the licenses will be activated before Monday although the reseller license will be activated quickly on Monday then the one you have ordered as your order will be verified by Kayako via phone before it can be activated.

Ah...didn't know how the reselling worked. Thought maybe they had a few keys to work from instead of verifying through Kayako each time. Better control I suppose...

It always strikes me that the people on this forum are amazingly impatient. I thought my customers were bad - especially since their mondays are my sundays you'd think they'd be screaming for attention. Maybe its' just the nature of software people - every 6 months its a new software generation and the attitutde is it has to be DONE yesterday or I'm gonna DIE today. Or, I placed my order 2 minutes ago, why isn't it here yet?? In the physical goods world, you have to wait at least 24-48 hrs for FedEx or UPS to arrive "IF" that and certainly not on sundays. Remember your Monday can be Sunday elsewhere in the world, and your Friday could be someone else's Saturday. LOL.

It's basically the difference between a physical product and the electronic delivery of software. There is nothing except the lack of sales support on weekends that prevents this person (or any buyer) from being able to install and configure the things they buy. I've purchased plenty of titles that were delivered and installed within minutes of ordering, even at 2AM on a Saturday night...

Kayako is just one of those companies that don't have staff on 24/7/365 to handle orders....and some times support, as we've found.
