| Member Posts: 197 Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Jakarta, Indonesia | I expect this is a question for Jamie... Is there some reason that license owners, in addition to their registered domain, should not also get a complimentary license for the localhost domain? I just asked Kayako support if this could be done, and I was turned down. I do a lot of testing and fiddling with CVS builds, and I'm always put in a risky and/or time-consuming situation doing this work on the remotely-hosted production server. I have a WAMP installation going on one of my local machines, and would prefer to do my dev work there--but of course get a license/domain warning. I'm sure that other license owners who regularly contribute code ideas to these forums feel the same why. Is there some issue I am not seeing? + Free: Ticket List & Search Mods | Dept. You can just ask Kayako to add an additional license key "localhost". |

Having it by default has been suggested at http://forums.kayako.com/f118/add-lo...license-16136/ Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Yes and it makes a lot of sense to allow users to install the software on localserver without having to purchase the license key. ![]() Shouldn't this be by default? Is there some legal concern that we should be aware of? + Free: Ticket List & Search Mods | Dept. There are licensing issues as to why we don't allow the localhost license as default (which I won't disclose, for obvious reasons), and also the fact that we do have customers who purchase a localhost license as their main license, with no other. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Owners of an Owned License are more than welcome to request a free localhost license. To do so, they can contact our sales department (http://support.kayako.com). Thanks, -------------------------------------------------------------------
