No confirmation notification or reply notification - 28-07-2006, 12:08 PM

Hey everyone!

Wel my problem is that when a user sends a ticket he doenst get the confirmation e-mail, the ticket is created though. Once i reply to the ticket they dont get a notify email either. Seems there is a problem sending emails in general.

Which things should i check / edit to fix this?

Hi,

Which method are you using to send mail from esupport? If it's set to PhpMail(), try using SMTP. It's under AdminCP > Settings > CPU Optimization & Server Settings.

I actually tried both. Seems im receiving the comfirmation e-mail but only after 20-40 minutes.

Hmm, I'm assuming that this happen when a user submits a new ticket, and when one is manually created by a staff member aswell?


A couple of Q's:

Are you running kayako on a local network and serving internal users / external users or both?

Which type of mail server are you running? Check your logs and see if there are any failures reported, may be able to narrow down the issue.

Yes im talking about when a new ticket is added.

Im running it externally.

The email is part of plesk.
