Not Receiving any emails - 03-03-2007, 03:53 PM

Yesterday I installed support suite and thought i had everything configured correctly, but i was wrong. When I send an email to the email queue address nothing happens. I am positive that my pop settings are correct. I also tried sending an email to the another email address in the queue that was set piping and still nothing happens. If you have any idea why this is happening can you please help me out. If you are interested in configuring this for me I am willing to pay you for the help. I am tired of pulling my hair out trying to do it myself. Thank you

Honestly I don't believe I made any changes to that file. I am sorry I misread the post. I did not do this. I am not to sure how I would go about creating this forward.

you dont make any changes to that file.... you have a control panel or anything? (such as cPanel)

I am assuming cpanel. I use hostrocket.com to host my site It doesn't really say what type of control panel it is. I can post a screen shot if this would help.

Chances are it's Cpanel, if you log in by adding "/cpanel" (or :2082 / :2083) to the end of the website address. Is that the address you use to log in?
From Hostrocket:
Quote:
Your control panel is accessible via any of the following links:

http://yourdomain.com/controlpanel/
http://yourdomain.com:2082
http://YOURIP/controlpanel/
http://YOURIP:2082
In cpanel, look for the "mail" icon, click it and enter the mail settings section. Look for "forwarders", and make a new one for the address you want to use. In the last box (the place to forward to) you enter the pipe "|" and the full path to the cli/index.php file. Like this:
"|home/username/public_html/esupport_directory/cli/index.php"

Make sure that index.php file has 755 permissions.

Once done, if the pipe still isn't working, then it's probably within Kayako's settings. You need to have a department set up, and a mail "queue" that points to it for it to work.

Delete that one, and create a new one. When you add it back in, remove the tilde "~" in the address for the pipe. Should be just the account username. Don't forget to start the address with the pipe character "|"!

Like this:
"|/home/vskins/public_html/vsupport/cli/index.php"

Well I checked I currently have no forwarders and I just tried to create a new one just like below

support@v-skins.com forwards to |/home/vskins/public_html/vsupport/cli/index.php

For some reason I am still getting the same error message. Is it possible that the issue might be something I need corrected by my hosting provider?

After speaking with this member via PM, it looks like it may be failing because the server doesn't have IMAP support compiled into PHP. Have the host take care of that, and it should work.

This has now been corrected as of yesterday evening. Lack of IMAP support in PHP, combined with a few settings that weren't correct and it's all better.
