Generally, I think they're just deleting the lock file. Most of the people hitting this bug patched before the patch was changed by progress.

There's a hack in the other thread where a cron job is called on &deletefile=1. That isn't exactly correct, but it's good enough to get you by until the patch is restored.

Unfortunately, we are fighting the below errors now since the 3 updated files were installed:

Code:
[Wed Jul 9 17:59:01 2008] [error] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function stripScriptTags() in /home/itd360/public_html/support/modules/parser/functions_parsercore.php on line 408
so, we're kind of stuck...

Well, roll those three files back to the version from your current install (ostensibly 3.20.02 stable). The bug you're seeing is due to version conflict.

I'm getting a new fix written as fast as I can, but my workday was over an hour ago, so it's looking like a tomorrow thing.

Sir, please roll your files back to 3.20.02. If you would like assistance with this matter, feel free to open a support ticket.

So your fix did not work?

What do we do to get the cron working again then?

This is just ridiculous. Why don't you guys sit down and start working on a real fix. Even when you have to work a hour longer as usual ;-). No CVS and no more stating it's fixed in the next Version. It's only getting worser. It can't be that difficult ...

Hi there,

As John said - we are working on getting a fix out, and hope to provide one here soon.

Can you give me some background as to what is wrong? Meaning, were these files incorrectly coded when 3.20.02 was released? Has the cron been working for anyone after 3.20.02? Shouldn't everyone on 3.20.02 be having this problem if its a coding error?

Hi,
just to mention that I´am getting this error myself, and this happened after I receive an attach larger than the max one in kayako config.

I´ve just deleted the file and raised the max file size...let´s see if it happens again.

Thanks and let the support work on this feature without pushing them..it´s not going to make the fix faster

Please see this thread for the current suggested solution and eventually where we will post the patch files: Important: Issue with the parser.lock file not expiring - temporary fix here - Kayako Community Forums

The temporary solution to this is to upload includes/functions_html.php from CVS as well. That is the location of the newly added stripScriptTags() function.
