I also once looked for this functionality and found it isn't available. Submit a feature request for it as it would be nice to see it in V4. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

It's worth noting that although some email clients support scraping the URL for alternate fields, that's not actually technically legal code. Mailto: URIs don't support those fields, and stricter email clients reject the URLs as invalid. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Mailto URIs do not take arguments. The common practice of writing mailto:foo@bar.com?subject=stuff&cc=john@d.oe is actually quite illegal according to the RFC. -------------------------------------------------------------------

John: I think you have totally missed what we are requesting here. We are not asking for a mailto URL. We are saying that you should be able to provide a link to a customer in the form of domain.com/helpdesk/index.php?_m=tickets&emailaddress=user@example.com &customfield1value=foo which would then prefill information on the help desk ticket create form. For example my customer is login and i already have most of the standard customer infos like name, phone, emails... so when when the customer click on a contact us link they would be directed to a form that i made in Kayako and I want to somehow pass the information that i already have in the URL then when the customer got to the form Kayako would recognize the infos that already existed in the URL and prefill all the fields. |

Yea, I am pretty sure John missed the point on this and thought it had another purpose. Icon Headquarters - Its Elixir - Web2Messenger |

Oh. Indeed, I did misunderstand this. I'm filing this as a feature request. -------------------------------------------------------------------
