This is due to new password hashing of stored cookies introduced in 3.11.00. We are working on a fix now.
Jamie,

Has this bug been fixed yet?

It looks as though it has already been fixed in the current CVS version:

Quote:
10 Aug 2007 10:44 AM - mslaria
Files Affected: 2

* swift/includes/LoginShare/default.login.php (1.7)
* swift/modules/core/client_loginhandler.php (1.20)

Notes: Bugs Fixed:
#239 - "Remember Me" doesn't work properly.
Please update the files mentioned above.

Can I just over write those files or do I have to install the CVS?

You just need to upload those two files.

Okay I uploaded those files however when you login and then log out why does the password length change? Is this normal? If I keep the password as is and try to login again it does log in so that works but I think the password length might deceive some clients in thinking that their password was not remembered correctly.

I agree...plus I posted another issue in post #23 but haven't received any feedback on it. I still think there is an issue there.

I'm running:

Version: 3.11.01
Build Type: CVS

and this still seems to be a problem?

=============
EDIT
=============

Its working fine actually. The password field gets longer chars as i believe its the encrypted version of the password which is
matched against the DB - So the password is not in clear text.

well, for whatever reason, my installation is not "remembering" people once they close their webbrowser window. I am not just talking about the password not auto-filling-- I mean it doesn't even remember the user name. This isnt a client-side cookie issue since it is affecting all my users, be they IE 6, 7, firefox etc

I have Active Directory integration and have uploaded the two files from the 11-12-07 CVS, but no dice... it is not taking the "remember me" password. I cleared all cookies and tried two different users... nothing.

hmm...
