PHP errors in the logs [MERGED] - 23-02-2007, 05:37 PM

Anyone else seen this and know the cause, and more importantly the fix?
New-ish install of 3.04.10 Suite. Searched on the forum, found absolutely no references.

Code:
[Fri Feb 23 05:51:10 2007] [error] PHP Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of parsecfdata(). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support this any longer. in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/includes/functions_customfields.php on line 976
Tried submitting a ticket, but each time I do it just refreshes me back to the "submit a new ticket" window, as if I'm not logged in (I am). Don't currently have the time to determine why.

Have in the past. Won't let you submit without a user/pass, and never sends me the login. Frankly, I'm tired of chasing bugs in the apps we need to report bugs in the apps we use.

Tried again a few minutes ago, same result.

Do you have any idea what you are doing for it to create the error and i will try recreate it.

Thanks, Trevor, but I'm not even accessing it unless it's related to the Winapp connecting to the server side app. The error appears in the logs one after another, farily frequently.

Just checked the other identical (other than the LiveResponse) install and there aren't any errors. I'll check this a bit further, in case it's related.

Hmm, can't test after all. For some reason I can't get the LiveResponse module to show in the other install. Doesn't appear anywhere in the admin backend like it does in the other install. (suite license with add on domain)

I fail to see how that relates to a deprecated PHP element error. If the coding was "up to date" then the error wouldn't be there, no? It's not an encoding error, nor can it be because my PHP is older (if it is) than the version it was written for.
At any rate, PHP 4.4.4 (or so) and Zend.

PHP using deprecated function - 10-03-2007, 05:42 PM

I'm seeing 'millions' of these in my web server error log:

Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of parsecfdata(). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support this any longer. in includes/functions_customfields.php on line 815

Any chance of cleaning up the Kayako code to fix the use of these deprecated functions?

Thanks!

Is there no hope to get this fixed? This has essentially rendered my logs useless, as it fills them with these errors instead of real issues that need attention. I've added to Flyspray (where a security issue I reported goes unlooked at for quite some time now), and I'm about to open a ticket on it, since the last one seems to have gone missing.

I will ping a developer with this when the office is opened.

Thanks,
