Php + Imap - 19-04-2006, 07:31 PM

I've read the past discussions on this subject and I just can't seem to get it to work. I've gotten this error message:

ERROR: Your PHP is not compiled with IMAP Support.
*NIX Users should recompile the PHP with the --with-imap flag and Windows users can simply uncomment the extension='php_imap.dll' line in their php.ini

I have tried opening the php.ini file and removing the ";" from in front of the extension and restarted IIS with no change. Does anyone know what to do when the simple fix doesn't work for this?

Thanks

I do! When the simple fix doesn't work, go back and check and then recheck the obvious things first.

Did you download the full zip file (not the installer version) from here:

http://us3.php.net/downloads.php

Did you follow the instructions (exactly) that I posted in this forum here:

Setup PHP on a Windows 2000 server

Do you have your PHP.INI file in your C:\WINDOWS\ folder and is it setup (exactly) with the settings that I posted in this forum here:

Configure PHP.INI settings for a Windows based server

Good luck!

Eddie

THings are pretty good now. I started from scratch and followed your walkthrough for a good bit of it. Thanks so much for the help, it took care of a bunch of issues. Now I just have a few minor things to work out.
