We are looking for Support Center and Staff Manual not the Installation and Configuration manual.

Even it is half complete it is ok, every one can contribute a little and try to complete.

I believe this one of the most asked questions in this forum.
Maybe you (kayako) should make a sticky with the current manuals and the progress in making new ones.

Again there is no commitment here by Kayako. This is what most irritating. Just they are working on it and whenever they want they will release it.

Let us know the date or atleast the month of release.

Estimations can go wrong, so why ask them. Since Varun suggested they are working on the manual then why not wait. Just my personal opinion.

Tentative date has to be announced and estimations should not go wrong everytime. We cannot ask the users to wait patiencely till Kayako releases manual. This is not an open source product.

The manual was last revised on 13th November 2005, its almost one year. Shame on them.

Hi,

Varun has already stated just the other day that the tech writers are currently undergoing training and he expects them to be churning out 2-4 pages a day of thorough documentation by Late October.

Not even a single version of manual has been rolled out till now. I don't know what they are trying to churn out from past 3 months...

Angry A manual is needed even if only in Kayako's self-interest - 26-12-2006, 10:35 PM

The load on Kayako's various support channels would be lessened, and user satisfaction would grow substantially, if Kayako published a simple manual on how staff should use their product: what are the common flows you have in any support center, and how to best use Kayako to support them. That's not rocket science, and that would make us more likely to use the product the way they designed it, which would lessen the support load as well.

Surely they would do that in their own self-interest? It's ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous, that it's the end of 2006 and they still don't have that.

I sit here this evening contemplatign and debating on whether or not to use this product.

#1 - I love the features, I love the workflow.

#2 - I HATE THE TEMPLATES!
#3 - NO FRIGGING MANUAL!!!!! As someone pointed out, this isn't freakin open source! I am PAYING for this and I cannot easily find information on how to use the damn thing.

I have spent more time looking at helpdesk solutions than I have working lately. I like this package except for two things above. Frickin frustrating.
