Question Is it possible to assign tickets automatically - 11-08-2006, 06:57 PM

Hi,
We are giving support for a project which have different modules. Each module is supported by a staff user.

We can capture the module information using customized select field while user submits a ticket.

Is it possible to auto assign the ticket to that particular module user? If there is an option how to do that?

Please let me know.

You can do that with Departments, so users will send the ticket to "x" department and you can assign the staff to specifics departments.

I am not interested to create departments for each module. For example in a Oracle E-Business Suite there are many responsibilities like Finance, HRMS, Time and Labor, Expenses etc.

We are considering Oracle E-Business Suite as one Department and responsibilities as different modules. Each person has expertise in one of the module.

I can provide a list using customize field but if there is a rule to assign it will be helpful.
