Predefined Replies not populating - 23-04-2007, 08:09 PM

Help!

I'm not sure what else to do... I've added/removed predefined reply categories, added/deleted replies, etc. and none of the changes will show up when I go to reply to a ticket. All of the options under the predefined replies popdown are still stuck on an old state.

I've tried deleting my cache files, logging out/back in ... this happens for all users in our desk.

As it stands right now this functionality is completely dead to us, and we really need it. Any thoughts?

Try using the feature in Mozilla Firefox and using its Java Console tool to check if there is any reported java error.

There are a ton of javascript errors. Not sure exactly what I'm looking for.

You may find tons of javascript warnings. What you should look for is an error. An error symbol is different from warning.

Ah, you're right. They're all warnings.

No errors at all.

Try and disable Enable Javascript Cache for Theme Items under the Administator Control Panel (Settings - General).

Someone needs to look into this personally. Create a support ticket

Try this:

1) Log into FTP, navigate to your installation folder.

2) Browse to the cache folder.

3) Delete all files in there, except index.html.

Now log back into your staff control panel. These cache files should regenerate themselves, including the menu JavaScripts.

You will also need to delete and then remove a Category from predefined before it regenerates the files. The same applies to downloads and knowledgebase..

Thats how we fixed out help desk.

I had the same problem and the responses here didn't fix the issue. I was also getting an fopen permissions error when I created new categories.

Looks like when you create a category the menu is updated in /files/ec93cc7009e50ebea8179c27f999d2c2.js

So that file didn't have the proper write permissions. I made a copy of it and then deleted the file. Then I went in and created a new category and response...then deleted them. Then I did the same for Knowledgebase and Downloads.

I cleared my cache and refreshed and now all the dropdowns work and I don't get the fopen error anymore.

Hope this helps.
