Problem With Emails Not Being Sent - 27-09-2006, 03:44 PM

Hello,

I am having a problem where the Admin (Me) never gets notified.

When the user signs up, they get the email.

When the user creates a ticket, they get the email.

However, at this point the admin should be notified as well. I saw some settings, and enabled them, but still no go.

Am I missing any settings? Or is there a defect with this version of the product? I am running 3.00.32.

I have tried both SMTP (With Merak), and PHP mail. I get the identical issue.

I have searched and searched the forums, found many people having this issue, but did not see a resolution in any of them.

I would appreciate any help.

Hi,

Have you logged into the Staff CP and setup alerts under the tickets section for your user?

Email
Please enter your personal email here. All Alerts assigned to your username will be sent to this email address. Please make sure that this email has not been created as an Email Queue, if there is an already existing Email Queue under the same email address then it might create bounce back loops.


Filled my email address here.. Tried a few email addresses as well...

Time Zone
Select your Time Zone, if set this time zone will override the default setting.


Left this to the default...

Enable Daylight Savings
If Enabled, The Time Zone offset will be automatically corrected when Daylight Savings takes effect.


Set to NO

Enable Private Message Email Alerts
If Enabled, You will receive an alert via Email whenever a Private Message is dispatched.


Set to YES

Enable Private Message Javascript Alerts
If Enabled, You will see a Javascript Prompt box confirming the receipt of a newly received Private Message.


Set to YES

Cell Number
If you wish to use SMS Alerts then please enter the Mobile Number. Do not prefix/add any signs like +, - etc.
Example: 13038761234


Didn't fill this out, as it was not working...

Signature
Enter your Signature, This Signature will be suffixed to all outgoing mails.

That's not enough.
As Neil says above, you need to go into the Staff Control Panel
Select "Tickets" in the top row, select "Alerts" , then setup New Alert.
