Exclamation Problem of "Refresh" - 06-07-2006, 08:27 PM

Hi

I Have a problem with SupportSuite since It was installed, and I Can´t found a solution. I try to explain it and give you all the information about.

The problem is related with the refresh of the data in all modules (Admin, Staff, and Client Support); If I modify something, the data it´s saved correctly, but when I go again to the page in cuestion I have to press F5 or Refresh button to be able to see the updated data.

1. The Instalation was made for the technical support of Kayako because I bought the installation option

2. The Server has all requirements.Operating System Linux
Versión de Kernel: 2.6.16.19
Versión de Apache 1.3.36 (Unix)
Versión de PERL 5.8.7
Versión de PHP 4.4.2
MySQL version 4.1.19-standard

3. I have try in different computers with identical result.

4. I have installed in the same server and domain, another apllication running mysql and PHP, and I don´t have this problem.. In addition, I frecuently use similar applications running phm and mysql and I also dont have any proble, so I dont think it was something in myh computer (I try in another computers)

5. I dont´have any software cache supporting; not in my server and not in my computer.

6. I´m really really desperate

So, please, Help me!! Thanks.

the reason your have to refresh is becaue the old one is stored in your web browsers cache/temporary internet files... dont worry I have to do the same thing...

a difficult way - 06-07-2006, 11:41 PM

there is a difficult way that you could get around this and that is to put the TIL settings in the cookie to very low which you can do that in supportsuite by lowering the sessiontimeout time to a significantly low time. There is generally not something that is refreshed so constantly to get all the data out in the way that you want. Unfortunately thats part of the life with web browsing, if we didn't use temp cache with both cookies and temporary internet files, you would be amazed how quickly servers could be overloaded in requesting of data. I know google has now achieved some of this cool abilities through its AJAX work (in gmail ive noticed this) where it will update on its own but not full refreshes and will clear tif files that contain different associated dates. However, google is the king of ajax and everyone is just learning behind. I know they are planning to move 99% of the ticket system over to ajax in version 3.1 for kayako
