Problem Uploading to the downloads section - 15-06-2006, 11:56 AM

I am having problems with supportsuite. I cannot upload anything regardless of file size. I have read the other forum items about file sizes in php but the file I a trying to upload is only 256k

I have read on this forum about a "downloads" folder I didn't have one so created one. Is this needed ?

some details - 15-06-2006, 11:36 PM

let me know the following details:
  1. version of supportsuite
  2. max size of files in php.ini (or you can just send your php.ini file over)
  3. if you are blocking any formats in the settings part of uploads (you can choose to only have .docs or whatever show up).
  4. If attachments are showing up if they e-mail it and the parser cuts it.
thanks.

Thanks I should have put that in the last mail.

1. I am actually using esupport 3.00.90
2. post_max_size = 8M
3. I don't think I'm blocking anything can't find a section about uploads
4. I'm not sure about this I haven't tried. I haven't set up the parser yet thats the next job.

I'm just trying to setup the downloads section of esupport so that customers can use it to see support documentation.

Thanks for your assistance.

php.ini file location - 17-06-2006, 06:28 PM

if you go into the admin section and go down to diagnostics and php info, scroll down through its list until you see where its location is, most likely under c:\inetpub\wwwroot

but just verify to whatever it says there.

FIXED IT !!!

Found this on another forum section here.

"I had a similar problem with my setup running on a Windows/IIS server where attachements couldn't be added via the Staff CP. It was due to the upload_tmp_dir setting in php.ini. I set that to a new folder (d:\tmp in my case) then made sure the Everyone group had a write access NTFS setting for that folder, and then iisreset and things are working fine..."

Sorted out my problems..
