Problem with user group creation and login - 23-07-2008, 09:27 AM

Hi, we have purchased the Support Suite two weeks ago, now, testing the software I have encountered a problem that I cannot understand.

The problem i that we can create a user group, and in the properties the group is a 'registered' user group, but when I try to login into support center with a user created in this group, the system tells me that the username or the password is incorrect.

I have maked anything wrong???

Thanks in advance.

Is the User email's address marked as "Validated" in the system?

yes, it's marked as a validated.

I have tested, and the group "Registered" works correct, and my custom group, with the same settings that "Registered"don't work.

Thanks.

Is the "Restrict Users Group" setting for the template group set to Yes? Check it under:
Admin CP > Templates > Manage Groups > default > Settings > Default User Groups > Restrict Users Group

Yes it's restricted,
but i have another template with this group, it's restricted too, but it's correctly assigned, the Registered User Group it's assigned to the "test1", and the Guest User Group it's assigned to "Guest". Then, the User group it's "test1" and when I try to acces width a registered user that it's into this group, the suport center tells me that i have entered wrong username or password.

I have read in the forum that the problems with template are in relation with the Cache and with the cookies, I don't know if it's my case, but I have cleared the cache and deleted my cookies and don't work.

Thanks.

that's the problem, try setting your template restrictions to no. Basically, if you have more than one template and when a user tries to login using a template that they are not registered in (they can have only one) then it will deny them.

Changing it to No will fix the issue.
