Problems inserting predefined replies-- Firefox - 15-05-2007, 11:11 PM

I have searched and have not seen this discussed.

When using Firefox (but not IE), SupportSuite ALWAYS inserts a predefined response at the bottom of the reply. For example, if I am in a ticket and press the "Q" button to include the quote, then press CTRL-HOME to get to the top of the reply, then insert a predefined reply, the reply will STILL go to the bottom of the reply--below the quoted email.

Can this be fixed?
Here is my install:

Product: SupportSuite Version: 3.10.02 Build Type: STABLE Build Date: 05 Mar 2007 01:14:35 AM

I see the same thing with FF.

Workaround (kinda lame, but works and only takes a couple of secs)
  • Click the Q to quote
  • ctrl-a
  • ctrl-x
  • Insert pre-defined reply
  • Click in the text window to focus
  • ctrl-end
  • ctrl-v
  • click send

HTH,

Rich

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.
Cheers!

HTH,

Rich
Yeah; I managed to figure that one out...seems like a major, unnecessary, pain in the neck. Would prefer it to actually work the way it is supposed to....

OR, at least create a HOTKEY for inserting a quote...that way, I can do this all using a macro. Right now, I have to hit the quote button manually...another pain in the neck.
